Preteens Charged as Adults for Attempted Murder

Dabbling with the occult is the cause.

Article by: Anthony Chibarirwe

Wearing jumpsuits and wrist- and ankle-shackles, two 12-year-old girls appeared in a Wisconsin court on June 2 to face charges of first degree intentional homicide after stabbing their 12-year-old friend 19 times in her torso, legs and arms. One stab wound missed the victim’s heart by a millimeter.

The two, charged as adults, had mulled over this horrific attack since February. Initially, they planned to muffle their friend with duct tape and then stab her in the neck while she slept. Then they considered doing so in the bathroom instead, to make cleanup easier. They eventually decided to invite their oblivious friend to a sleepover then attack her in a park while playing hide-and-seek.

What turned these preteens into monsters? They desired to please a mythological demon-like character from a website devoted to horror stories and legends. The girls hoped to become proxies of the fictitious character and live with him in his mansion. One of them claimed she saw the character in her dreams and that he watched over her. She believed he was telepathic and capable of teleporting.

Police chief Russell Jack offered this warning: “I want to stress today that parents should not be allowing their children to have unrestricted or unmonitored Internet usage.”

We offered similar advice in our May-June print edition of the Trumpet:

Don’t even casually dabble in the occult. Demon possession is not the stuff of fables. It is very real. Using tarot cards or Ouija boards, reading fantasy books or watching movies that deal with the occult will break down the barriers of your mind and open the door for problems—even potential [demon] possession. All parents have the responsibility to protect their children and teens from such danger.

Interest in demons and the supernatural has gone mainstream. The plain truth is that it is mentally and spiritually destructive. Oftentimes, it’s also physically detrimental. Children, adults and parents must be on vigilant guard about what enters their minds. The spirit world is very real.
